AgSmart 2023: Farm Focused & Data Driven

AgSmart is gearing up to provide an unparalleled experience for the agricultural industry with its farm-focused and data-driven educational expo on August 1 and 2 at Olds College of Agriculture & Technology. This must-see educational expo focuses on data and technology across the agriculture industry and offers producers and industry a unique opportunity to learn, engage, and explore the future of farming.

Why AgSmart? The expo focuses on innovation, demonstration and education with a unique outdoor conference-style format, showcasing the benefits of investing in equipment and technology to capture data, and how to implement that data to increase productivity and profitability for farming operations. Highlights include more than 100 interactive exhibits, live demos from drones to autonomous equipment, expert-led educational sessions, and a variety of special events on-site.

“We are excited to welcome producers and the industry to AgSmart this year,” says Stacy Felkar, event co-manager, AgSmart. “As the ag tech sector continues to evolve, there are many new stakeholders and innovations entering the marketplace. AgSmart provides an ideal opportunity to learn about how tech and data can be incorporated into current farming operations”.

The 40+ educational sessions have a cropping and livestock focus with topics ranging from leveraging artificial intelligence to regenerative agriculture and integrating technology and data into traditional farming practices. AgSmart is also a great opportunity to learn more about the Smart Farm and its projects, which will be featured in the Olds College interactive exhibit, educational sessions and demonstrations.

This year, AgSmart is welcoming Field Crop Development Centre (FCDC)’s Field Day on August 2. FCDC is celebrating 50 years of variety innovation. FCDC’s crop plots are part of the 30 crop plots on-site, and attendees will have the opportunity to explore and learn about the new varieties and advancements on display.
