N2Woah – Estimating Nitrous Oxide Emissions

In 2022, the Smart Ag Applied Research team used data from the Olds College Smart Farm to estimate nitrous oxide emissions. Come to the session to learn how they estimated emissions, the data that producers may need to collect, and how their research continues in 2023.

Abby Sim, Research Technician, Olds College Centre for Innovation

Abby Sim grew up on a farm in central Alberta which inspired her love for both science and agriculture. She attended Mount Royal University where she obtained her Bachelor of Science degree. Abby previously worked in the barley and triticale breeding program at the Field Crop Development Centre (FCDC) in Lacombe, Alta. Currently, Abby works with the Smart Ag Applied Research team at Olds College Centre for Innovation (OCCI) where she applies her agricultural and science background to improve and evaluate agricultural technologies.
